Not enough traction: Barriers that aspiring researchers from low- and middle-income countries face in global health research

There is a growing concern of low representation researchers from low-middle-income countries (LMICs) in the publication global health research high-impact peer-reviewed journals. Nobody denies that developing world generally face several obstacles to publishing their research. In this viewpoint, we share some barriers have observed our experience working both academia and practice middle-income such as limited opportunities for funding, gender disparities, language barriers. Beyond presenting barriers, also provide pragmatic solutions addressing these through increased financing, capacity building, equity inclusion, editorial support. Most importantly, call setting new level ambition redressing imbalances actualizing leadership emergence veritable critical mass LMICs researchers.
